ESO Necrom Promotional Artwork Summer has arrived and it's time to get those buns out! These buns won't be hitting the beach this summer because we've got a lot of ground to cover. With a 10 day vacation from my full time job my free trial as a full time content creator has started! Long time followers will have noticed the changes and efforts that have been made since starting my journey, but for the newcomers we do this Letter of Address every quarter (previously monthly) as a way for me to be transparent with my audience on what to expect as the year goes on. Let's get the laundry list out of the way so I can get back to making more amazing content for you all! PROMO REDUX
I'll be taking a lesson out of Bungie's playbook when it comes to designing a roadmap and breaking down Content Blocks going forward. Adapting visual storytelling into my accouchements will require some time for me to decide how I want the inforgraphics to look, but once the designs are all finalized it's all plug and play. As an artist I want to establish a style that I can associate with me and how I communicate transparency with my audience. CONTENT BLOCXAdmittedly the launch of the current content block has been very choppy, mostly thanks to me trying to catch up on a lot of backend work with my website and discord. This 10 day vacation serves as logging to for me to complete the things that has really held me back on getting this content block popping. During these precious days I've also been thinking of ways to make Content Blocks more than just written guides with a video to correspond with it. Getting all of my social media engaged will provide value that you guys deserve. Shorts and Reels are going to be incorporated into Content Blocks to provide bite size information and helpful tips that don't require a long form video. Polls will be ran on YouTube and Twitter focusing on fun interactions and some data gathering. Full length videos will be posted on both YouTube and Facebook going forward. This will require exporting for two different platforms, and will be posted a couple of days between each other. These changes, I hope, will make Content Blocks not only fun for you guys, but hopefully create a model that other content creators can incorporate to help organize their schedules and have planned breaks between blocks. STREAMING???This is quite the awkward day to be talking about streaming with the update Twitch has made on how streamers are restricted on running ads and their own branding on their channels. Ironically this same policy update has helped me make up my mind on which platform I'll debut my streams on. Over the last 6 months I've been debating about streaming on Twitch and YouTube, weighing in on the pros and cons of each platform. At my core I believe in the power of YouTube and how it can change people's lives, and I am here to play the long game. Twitch has been implementing policies that hurts both viewers and streamers and I am lucky that I haven't touched streaming at this point. YouTube is invested on improving their platform for both creators and viewers and it's not pretty clear which platform is worth sticking with for the long haul. Winter 2023 I will be debuting my streams on YouTube. I have a feeling over the next 5 years more Twitch streamers will move to YouTube because of the fact that YouTube is dedicated to improving their platform, even if those improvements are taking a long time to test and implement. The streaming features that YouTube has for community building are growing and improving, and I truly believe they will become the primary streaming platform by 2030. WHAT HAPPENED TO PAETREON?I've submitted my application and now waiting for review. Pricing has been decided so now it's in the hands of Elon Musk if he'll grace me with the opportunity to participate in Twitter subs. If my application does get approved I'll be looking on what type of content I will curate exclusively to Twitter subs. Ironically Twitter Blue users (dat be me) can now upload videos that are up to 2 hours long. Twitter videos sounds weird, but why not? Twitter is also experimenting with streaming as well and in it's current iteration it's dog shit. If this gets fixed up Twitter sub streams may become a thing. One thing that's guaranteed is that, if I get approved, giveaways will be exclusive to Twitter subs. Once Twitter becomes Corp X officially and becomes the US "everything" app that Musk envisions. People may make fun of Twitter, but it's here to stay and it's going to become what Zuck wanted Meta to be but better.
