Alright ESOfam this is the beginning of our journey together exploring ESO lore with your Loremaster Apprentice, DioDiablo. And where else is better to start this journey than the very beginning of the ESO timeline? Going in chronological order we are going to tackle the story of the Elder Scrolls Online as experienced by the Vestiage. For the Planemeld we're going to organize this in a way that's consistent with the Planemeld event itself, so we won't be covering the Three Banner War for this content block. Instead we're going to cover the good stuff.

ESO Necrom Promotional Artwork Summer has arrived and it's time to get those buns out! These buns won't be hitting the beach this summer because we've got a lot of ground to cover. With a 10 day vacation from my full time job my free trial as a full time content creator has started! Long time followers will have noticed the changes and efforts that have been made since starting my journey, but for the newcomers we do this Letter of Address every quarter (previously monthly) as a way for me to be transparent with my audience on what to expect as the year goes on. Let's get the laundry list out of the way so I can get back to making more amazing content for you all! Things are getting hot as we go pure pyro with the Dragonknight. All of creation will turn to ash as you scorch the earth with your searing draconic flames of passion and fury. This build is all about squeezing every ounce of flame damage you possibly can. The Firelord is a DPS build that focuses on getting the most out of Dragonknight's fire DOTs, while also utilizing flame damage abilities outside of the class kit. The foods you'll want to run are Witchmother's Potent Brew or Clockwork Citrus Filet, whichever you have at your disposal. While spell damage potions are the most ideal to run in groups, Dragonknights are known for having expensive ability costs and below average sustain. A trash Magicka potion, or even a tri stat potion will be more ideal to run to help maintain sustain. If you played Skyrim you'll remember the constellation perk system that made you the most overpowered Stealth Archer in all of Nirn. In the Elder Scrolls Online that same constellation system blew up in big bang proportions into the Champion Point system. Champion Points are earned after you pass level 50 on your character, and you can have up to 3600 Champion Points! Now I know what you're thinking, "What the heck do I even do with that many points?" and the answer to that question is not as simple as you think it would be. But before we get too far let's break down the basics of the Champion Point system, and how we're going to organize the cosmos in an easy to understand format. As with most other MMORPGs on the market the Elder Scrolls Online uses an attribute and stat system that helps improve your character's overall performance. Something that is unique to ESO though is their "resource management system" that uses a pool of Stamina, Magicka, and Health where your ability cost comes from these pool of resources instead of casting an ability and waiting for it to come off of cooldown. This is what gives ESO a refreshing combat experience that is very free flowing and doesn't use "waiting to come off cooldown" as part of the experience. Instead you can cast your abilities as much as you want until your resource pool runs out. There you will use various methods of resource recovery to refill your resource pool. This system is completely in your control and allows for you to sustain your resource pools based on your playstyle and of course your situation. In this guide I'm going to show you how this stat and attribute system works so you can be in control of your resources. How you interact in the world of the Elder Scrolls Online can be influenced by which class you chose at the beginning of your playthrough. Even if you aren't roleplaying completing the Mages and Psijic questlines will feel different for a Sorcerer, just as completing the Dark Brotherhood questline will feel far more satisfying on a Nightblade. But where your class shines the most is in combat, whether it's for PVE or PVP. Each class is designed to accommodate an array of playstyles, and can be specialized even further depending on your role as a tank, healer or damage dealer. Below are a glimpse into each class that's playable in the Elder Scrolls Online. The very first thing that anyone does when they start playing the Elder Scrolls Online is create their character, possibly the hardest decision the game gives you. If you've played Skyrim you'll remember that each race had their own unique passives that offered some great utility when traversing the frozen tundra. ESO takes this up a notch, and depending on how you want to play, the race that you pick from the very beginning may matter a lot. Let's break down each option to see what they offer and what playstyles are great for each pick. The very first thing you do when starting a new account in ESO is creating your character. While the mantra "play the way you want" is the pretense of the game, creating a character in ESO is more complex than the game itself will explain. This content block will be a thick ass brick because we're going to breakdown the character building process from the character creation menu all the way through putting together a proper build you can take on any endeavor. Eating isn't just important in real life, it's an essential part of any proper ESO build! If you've leveled up your Provision line, or are OCD with checking lootable mundane objects like me, then you'd have noticed that there is a plethora of cooking recipes to choose from. Of course you don't need to know or use them all for raiding. I'll show you the best bang for your buck recipes that will help your build shine at its brightest! We'll break things down by role to help simplify the process. Don't get caught with your pants down! While having the proper build and combat techniques are important for raiding, what arguably even more important is the tools you bring with you! Whether it's food, potions, repair crates or what not you never want to go without these life saving items. They are very important for you and your groups survival so don't sleep on them! Now, instead of building a wall of text for you to crawl your way through I've made some convenient shortcuts for you to navigate through and not feel like you're cramming last minute for a Friday morning quiz. |
